NENETS, A FAMILY LIFE
" The land we borrow it, it doesn't belong to us. Our chum has been here for 2 years but we can leave at any time. We are nomadic people" Slepushkine shows me his passport and in front of the address field it's written “Tundra”. "I am the only one responsible for the herd of reindeer," and after a silence he told me " The most important, it's their food, that's what determines where we live." I've shared the chum in November 2021 with the family of Slepushkine : his wife Voladia, their four children, Savely, Nastya, Victoria and Miroslav, uncle Yuri and grandmother Anya.
Endless tundra and behind the horizon the reindeer enjoying this late fall. The daily life is punctuated by the essential needs and even if technology and then digital have been established, the relationship to the earth remains.
